COMPUTER TECHNICIAN (LEVEL 3)

We are currently seeking to hire a Level 3 Computer Technician to join our team of experts and contribute to our company’s growing success. The candidate will act as an expert advisor to customers and will propose the best technological solutions to them according to their needs. Permanent full-time position.

CORE RESPONSABILITIES:

• Analyze the needs of customers and/or prospects
• Identify and propose solutions to recurring customer problems, in collaboration with various stakeholders
• Participate in the implementation of technological solutions
• Provide level 2 and 3 technical support (servers and network equipment), via phone, email and in person
• Solve problems related to the configuration of applications, equipment and software used by customers
• Install and configure computer software and hardware, and network components
• Manage and supervise IT environments as well as cloud computing environments
• Write the documentation of technical and IT security procedures

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• AEC, DEC or BAC in computer science or equivalent training
• At least 8 years of relevant experience
• Microsoft certification is a major asset
• Bilingual (English & French)
• Strong customer service skills
• Autonomous and resourceful work ethic
• Professional image and attitude
• Organizational skills
• Excellent learning ability
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective communication and knowledge translation skills
• Methodological and detail-oriented approach
• Valid driver’s license and access to a car

REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Essential: Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, Active Directory, Windows 7, 8, 10, IT networks DHCP, NDS, IPv4, VLAN, VPN, Microsoft Office 365 and Azure
• Important: Able to build a complete IT environment for a customer
• Asset: Linux SUSE (base), VMWare ESX / VSPhere, Watchguard firewall, Sonicwall, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010-2013-2019
