Founded in 1958, Marcel Morissette Inc. is a family business specializing in milking equipment for dairy farms with the mission of improving milk production and animal welfare. Located in Sainte-Claire (Québec) and led by brothers Sébastien and Nicolas Morissette, the company has built a solid reputation and strong customer loyalty with its unwavering commitment to high-quality service, both in terms of their milking equipment and the professional advice they offer.
With the steady growth in the company’s daily operations over the years, it became challenging to have an accurate overview of operational activities and to effectively manage them. The management software the company used had become obsolete.

The new management solution was instantly adopted by several departments.
“Our supply representatives were already using the ProgressionLIVE system, which is now fully integrated with SAP Business One. A few required fields have been added to improve the information flow between departments. Sales representatives, on the other hand, found the new platform much easier to use when preparing quotes,” says Sébastien.
However, the change was slightly more challenging for other departments. The learning curve was greater for store employees, as the computerization of operations greatly impacted their work habits. “Now, both our employees and our customers appreciate the smoother purchasing process. Employees are happy not to have to search through paperwork!” he adds.

Now, with the integration of Produmex WMS, I know exactly where to find each of our products and their available quantities in real time,” says Sébastien. The supply-chain relationship dashboard quickly became an indispensable tool for forecasting and managing demand, optimizing inventory, and planning sales and operations. “This dashboard alone saves us a ton of time!”
Sébastien is already considering his next steps to maximize the benefit of SAP Business One. “I want to use artificial intelligence features to make decisions more quickly. Having the most important performance metrics available in real time will hugely improve our internal management and efficiency!”
