BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (BDR)

Forgestik is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. As a BDR, you will play a crucial role in driving our company's growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. This role will primarily serve our Anglophone Canadian clientele, ensuring a strong presence and personalized support for this market segment.

Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our client base and increasing revenue. We have a fantastic team that will support you and help you grow professionally.

Workplace: 100% remote
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: To be discussed based on experience and expertise
Type of Employment: Full-time, permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
Languages Spoken and Written: Native English or fully bilingual (English/French)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will assist the sales department by:

  • Identifying and prospecting new potential clients within the Anglophone Canadian clientele.
    • Making at least 3–4 hours of cold calls per day, aiming to generate 1–2 leads per week.
    • Reaching out to various industry sectors, including nonprofit organizations, financial services, and others.
    • Qualifying leads generated from marketing campaigns.
  • Presenting the company’s ERP offerings to potential clients, highlighting the key benefits and features of SAP Business One, Sage Intacct and SAP Cloud ERP. 
  • Understanding clients' needs and proposing suitable solutions based on their business requirements.
  • Organizing meetings with potential clients for the sales team.
  • Conducting market research to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Keeping accurate records of sales activities, including leads, opportunities, and client interactions, using CRM software.
  • Collaborating with team members to develop strategies for improving sales and achieving better results.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Certificate, technical diploma, or bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Understanding of sales processes, marketing strategies, and CRM systems is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Strong communication skills: English (written and spoken); bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Strong ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and sales data to identify opportunities.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good knowledge of software applications; knowledge of ERP systems is an asset.
  • Positive attitude, resilience in the face of challenges, strong team spirit, proactivity, drive, excellent negotiation skills, and comfort in dynamic environments.
