On April 6, 2017, the Relève CTAQ committee hosted an event. More than a hundred people, including Forgestik, have attended the second edition of the event. The purpose of the event is to outline and reward the food transformation industry’s next generation. An independent jury has analyzed each application to determine the winners. Last year, one of Forgestik’s clients, Industrie Gastronomique Cascajares, won the Jean Gattuso Trophee and took the first place of the podium.
Among all laureates, there were leaders of the market, such as Aliments Ouimet-Cordon Bleu and St-Hubert Détail, but also start-ups, such as 1642 Sodas and nutritionist and blogger Hubert Cormier.
Furthermore, Initia Foundation also seized the opportunity to announce the winners of Agro:Inno scholarships. With the help of the CTAQ and the INAF, Initia Foundation rewards students who are dedicated to the continual improvement of food transformation processes, hygiene and food security. The organization has received 30 applications and rewarded 11 students from college and university. More than 26 000$ have been given.
Congratulations to all the winners and participants and a special mention to the CTAQ’s organization who encourages the next generations!
